Day Three
We are in Holland, Michigan! It's a quaint small town not far from Lake Michigan in what I like to call a gingerbread house! My best friend from high school, Sara & her husband Daryl VanTongeren have opened their home to us for 5 days! It's a beautiful place!

Our adventures started off today going to what the locales say is the beach! It's really Lake Michigan!
It was an absolute gorgeous day! It was a little bit of a hike there amongst the dunes. It felt like being in the mountains. Despite the waters being a little rough & chilly, our boys jumped right in! We had a blast playing in the dirt, soaking up the sun, playing with new friends (sara & daryl have friends with kids our boys age-always a plus!), & having a picnic lunch. I'll let the pictures speak more!!

Then we went to this cute little tourist town not far called Saugatuck to feed ducks, watch boats, and see the chain pulled ferry!

For dinner we had a cookout with more of their friends. Interestingly enough the husband Derek had been a classmate of mine during my Capernwray Bible School days in England! We figured it out a while back as he looked at Sara's wedding pictures & recognized me. Connections like this make the world seem small!!

The night ended with ice cream at Captain Sundaes & a firefly hunt in the VanTongeren's amazing back yard!

We so much enjoy following you this way. Thank you so much for posting! A comment on your introduction: Did the house continue staying quiet?
